Located in downtown Redwood City, this existing open office was given a face lift to accommodate a hi-tech company’s expanding needs. The design opens the two-floor building up to natural light by emphasizing the high volume and existing structure. Large steel truss spans the roof structure which were panted to highlight the industrial character of the space and neighborhood.

The design reuses materials from the original space, including interior steel beams, wood columns, stairs and skylights.

SSA worked closely with the tenants to create an enriching space which includes polished concrete floor finishes, conference rooms, offices, break area and various collaborative areas within this space. The lower level serves as a lobby and collaborative space as well.
