This former restaurant in San Mateo now serves an office for Education.com, a start-up offering learning tools for children.SSA collaborated with the City authorities to effectively integrate edgy design and detailing into this existing historic building while maintaining its character and features.

The design reuses materials from the original space, including interior wood beams and columns & other structural systems.

Finish materials are left raw, including wood and steel that houses office, kitchen/ break area and conference rooms. The design uses energy-efficient lighting and heating systemsand the workspace has an open layout allowing for flexible cubicle arrangements.
