Location: San Jose, California
Size: ~4,000 sft., 1-Story
The project scope includes complete demolition & re-build of the residential property to create an open layout with views to front and rear patio and landscape. The re-build comprises of a large living area alongside a family space, dining room opening into a large kitchen, pantry & laundry area along with four large bedrooms and three full bathrooms.
The design uses energy-efficient lighting and heating systems throughout the house. High vaulted ceilings at the living, dining & kitchen adds volume and character to this house. Large open kitchen with island allows the owner to pursue his culinary interests. The rear patio opens to the pool that is visible from the master bedroom thereby tying the inside with the outdoor.
Porcelain & wood flooring throughout the house creates warmth and style. Large bay windows at the living & dining rooms bring in ample light and provide views of the street. All exterior doors and windows have dark aluminum frames which adds to the modern character of the house. Grey toned exterior cement plaster along with the red tile roofs and landscape blend together with the surrounding neighborhood.
